Engagements in 2003



To celebrate the tercentenary of the birth of John Wesley, the Grace Darling Singers took part in two special events:




8th June

2-30 p.m.

We joined the congregation and sang a number of pieces on our own at the Open Air Meeting (transferred indoors because of torrential rain!)on Mow Cop, between Biddulph and Congleton, on the border between Cheshire and Staffordshire.




5th July

7-30 p.m.

We presented a Concert of Sacred Music by John Wesley and his contemporaries at Heaton Moor Methodist Church, Stockport.




On Sunday, 25th May, at 2-30 p.m., the Rev. Dr. Henry Rack, a member of the Grace Darling Singers, delivered the Annual Lecture at the Primitive Methodist Chapel and Museum at Englesea Brook, near Barthomley, Cheshire:  John Wesley – A Tercentenary Lecture.




13th December

7-30 p.m.

Our Christmas Concert, “A West Gallery Christmas”, once again was at Chadkirk Chapel, Vale Road, Romiley.




22nd December

7-00 p.m.

Carol singing in Cheadle Hulme in aid of the Francis House Children’s Hospice.




31st December
