11-15 a.m.

 

We contributed choral items to Morning Worship at the Dean Row Chapel, near Wilmslow, on the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by the American Colonies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

11th September

 

Like the Dean Row Chapel and Chadkirk, the Brook Street Chapel in Knutsford was one of the first Dissenting Meeting Houses to take advantage of registering under the Toleration Act, part of the Glorious Revolution of 1689.It was the Chapel attended by Elizabeth Gaskell before her marriage, where she taught in the Sunday School, and where she, her husband and other members of her family were buried.

The Chapel (now Unitarian) was open under of the Heritage Open Days Scheme and the Grace darling Singers sang music suitedto the history of the Chapel.
